To earn a letter, the swimmer must be an eligible and ACTIVE team member for the entire season and meet ALL four (4) of the following qualifications
1.Meet attendance requirements for meets, practice, and meetings.
*Practice - all athletes (EXCEPT for USA) must attend at least 90% of scheduled practices.
*Meets- Be on time and do not miss any events without talking to a coach first.
2. Must participate in at least eight (8) meets (not counting State)
3.Must qualify for the County Championship meet in at least one event.
4.If you qualified, you must participate in the State and/or County Championship meets.
The following may result in automatic loss of varsity letter
Out-of-school Suspension from school
Excessive absences from practice
Missing a scheduled meet
Refusing to swim an event
Conflicts with scheduled meets must be worked out with Coach Bisesi as soon as you know about them. USA swimmers need to let us know as soon as possible which meets you will miss due to USA meets.
Swimmers who are more than 10 minutes late to practice will be considered absent from that practice.
Exceptions to these requirements due to emergencies will be dealt with on an individual basis.
Though it is not a requirement to letter, everyone is expected to attend and participate in all team functions. These functions give team members a chance to bond in a non-competitive environment.
Team spirit and cohesion is vital for the success of any team.
